Building Community

Artists frequently work alone and need a way to connect with colleagues. In a traditional work place it's something known as the water cooler conversation. A brief point in the day when a casual conversation can spark a great idea and where valuable nuggets of information are shared. I recently partnered with a fellow artist to start an informal art critique group. We had our first meeting last week and it was a great way for all of us to get feedback on recent work and share professional information.
