Journaling
For the past few years I've been journaling on a regular basis as a way to sort through and process memories. I've got several goals for this process, one is just to think more deeply about who I am and how I came to be the person I am, and two, to get some of this into my art. I'd like to see my art come from a deeper place. Being stuck at home under the shelter in place order has allowed me to use more time for journaling and some experimental art making. The threat of the virus has been intense and I like everyone else, have been going through some ups and downs in dealing with my stress level. But sitting down to write or getting my hands on some paint have both been ways to put the stress aside for a while. I'm liking where my new series is going.
