Still Blue

Blue continues to inspire me. I recently purchased 12 canvases from an artist selling them on Craigslist. She was preparing to travel for 6 months (lucky her) and needed to clear things out of her workspace before leaving. She offered a great price, and I felt free to use the canvases almost as I would a sketchbook. Feeling free from the need to make great paintings, I simply painted with abandon, using the color blue as my inspiration. The result was a very nice group of paintings that impart the free and easy feeling I had while painting them. I think they will be great at open studios this December. And so much fun to just go with the flow on the color Blue!
